Vietnamese Robusta
Robusta coffee was first introduced to Vietnam in the early 20th century, during the French colonisation, and restrictedly produced under the plantation system up until the mid 20th century. Since then, the Vietnamese coffee industry had been rejuvenated by the economic reform in 1986, leading to its gradual development to become the world largest producer of Robusta coffee today.

Robusta beans are enjoyed by the public in a plethora of mechanics ranging from the production of instant coffee, acting as the filler for a variety of Arabica blends and thickening crema for Espresso. Currently, Robusta coffee trees are grown across the Central Highlands in Vietnam with key manufacturing regions ranging from Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong and Gia Lai. The harvesting cycle of Robusta falls under the month of October each year.
